For one on one rehabilitation, exercise, and specific training, Mutts in Motion is a team we love.
After the loss of their beloved dog Casey, husband and wife duo Brad and Kim made connecting with dogs and their owners a lifestyle and a business. Following this turn of events, Brad became certified in hydrotherapy, a unique, and relatively unknown approach to canine health that helped Casey a little too late. After finding that his innate ability to read dogs went beyond their anatomy and physiology as a hydrotherapist, Brad also earned his certification as a dog trainer, and Mutts in Motion was born.
With a range of mobile services, Mutts in Motion focuses on three areas: hydrotherapy, physical conditioning, and behavior training in a one-on-one setting.
Hydrotherapy promotes a relaxed, therapeutic environment for healing and strengthening your pup both mentally and physically. Because of the low impact, hydrotherapy can be used to focus on specific muscle groups for surgical or injury rehabilitation or for full-body general exercise and weight management. Brad says he uses water to rehabilitate, exercise, and comfort dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages.
Mutts in Motion also focuses on physical conditioning for dogs. The Mutts team works to create a custom program for each pup based on their needs. Their mobile conditioning training utilizes a portable treadmill and may include hydrotherapy exercises as well.
Their Behavior training is custom fit to each pup client, with the end goal of positive communication between dog and pet parent. Individual in-home behavioral and out-of-home social training are part of the highly specialized program Mutts provide to dogs who need a different approach to traditional classes.
Throughout all their services, Brad’s goal is to offer an environment where it’s easy for people to learn how to relate to their dogs as well as a place where dogs learn to succeed and live up to their owner’s expectations.
Mutts in Motion provides unique and highly customized services that bring the best in therapy, conditioning and specific behavior training to your dog. Brad even introduces dogs to dock jumping! Just like their namesake, Brad says he wants to keep you and adds “both of you should be tired after a session.” Thanks to Mutts in Motion, work and play can mix!
