1. Stimulating the Mind
Just like us, dogs get bored. And a bored dog can lead to mischief. Left home all day, dogs may not get the proper stimulation they need to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This may be why you find that favorite pillow chewed up or some extra holes in those new shoes.
At daycare, dogs can exercise their minds with training activities, puzzle toys, and social interaction. Stimulation can even come from a new environment with opportunities for discovery and exploration.
2. Exercise
When doggy daycare is done right, pups get the chance to stretch their legs and play, not just in a free-for-all, but in carefully constructed playtimes. This could be in the form of specialized exercise equipment, organized games, and the use of toys to encourage movement.
3. Training
A daycare that includes training gives dogs the benefit of reinforcing good behaviors in an environment apart from home. A well-trained dog is easier to take along on social outings, and makes managing behavior at home better too. Look for a place that includes this instead of lifeguard-style group tactics where chaos ensues.
4. Socialization
When care is taken to group dogs into compatible social pods for active learning, play, and socialization, dogs can thrive. When bonding with other pups of similar temperament, dogs learn how to be their best doggy selves. Social bonding in daycare can reinforce positive interaction with other dogs so you can rely on having a well-behaved pup no matter what the situation.
5. Fun
When the atmosphere is fun for trainers and dogs alike, everybody wins. A doggy daycare that makes sure to include plenty of play breaks and fun extras is a sign that your dog will enjoy this time away from home.
At A Ruff Day Bark Club, we believe that every dog deserves a custom experience where play and learning mix. We use special doggy screening “Pawsonality” tests to ensure that pups can maximize their social experience and every dog is safe and cared for. Our doggy daycare is full of fun for pups of all ages.
